Laurence Maroney
Founder of LM39 Foundation to support athletes by promoting mental health awareness.
“He is positioned as a key advocate for athlete mental health and youth empowerment”
Laurence Maroney is a former NFL running back and St. Louis native, founded the LM39 Foundation to support youth and athletes by promoting mental health awareness, leadership, and resilience. His mission is to provide safe spaces for young athletes to develop as leaders and as individuals by offering resources such as educational, financial, and athletic support.
To further the foundation’s mission and bring attention to their programs, Laurence partnered with Walker + Associates Media Group to generate media coverage for the LM39 Foundation’s Athlete Mental Health Jamboree and the NFL Flag Football Team initiative.
Our team launched a national press campaign targeting TV segments, digital outlets, and regional press in St. Louis. Within a few months, we secured features in St. Louis Magazine, STL TV, Fox (2 segments), Rolling Out, Source Magazine, KNN Radio, Authority Magazine, and AH Network. Through these strategic placements, the LM39 Foundation’s mission reached a broader audience, bringing awareness to the foundation’s efforts to support youth development both on and off the field.
This media coverage helped elevate the LM39 Foundation’s profile, creating valuable visibility and positioning Laurence Maroney as a key advocate for athlete mental health and youth empowerment.
IMPACT
The campaign garnered an estimated 25 million media impressions, successfully amplifying the foundation’s message and strengthening its influence in both local and national communities.
